Our second match of the Halo 3 season would be against our long time ally SBG Omega, now SBG Gaming. This match has been in the making since our intense matches in Halo 2. With that said both teams were locked and loaded and the match was underway. .

The game began and the Warriors were on the offensive. From the start they made an all out rush for the base and slowly inched their way towards the flag. Unfortunately as soon as the flag left the gate, SBG came out in force and thwarted their flag run. The next round began and SBG hammered the Warrior base and broke through their defense. As quickly as they attacked they just as quickly scored and SBG was in the lead 1-0. The third round began and the Warriors were back on the offensive. They again were able to get the flag out and this time they were able to get it within ten feet of the capture point. However, SBG showed their slaying ability and once again the Warriors were held scoreless. The fourth round began and the Warriors set up a rock solid defense, which withstood the SBG rush for the majority of the round. However, in the final seconds SBG was able to pull the flag out to the beach, but the Warriors quickly swarmed and stopped the flag in its tracks. Unfortunately SBG respawned in time and held off the Warriors long enough to score the flag.

The entire game was a back and forth struggle for control of the center of the map. Many bullets were exchanged and lives lost in the quest for center supremacy. Unlike the last game luck was on the Warriors’ side. Every time SBG escaped with the flag there would always be a Warrior standing in his path. For the first eight minutes the game was scoreless, but through skilled team kills, flag runs and flag returns the Warriors were able to score three flags in three minutes, resulting in a Winged Warrior victory.

After the morale boost from game two, the Warriors came out strong and quickly pulled out to a 109-19 point lead. Unfortunately SBG penetrated their defense and for the remainder of the round the Warriors were in a game of Cat and Mouse, resulting in a disappointing 250-146 loss.

The game quickly was underway and the Warriors knew they needed a victory to have a shot at winning the match. The Warriors were once again on the offensive, and through a well timed and executed flag rush WW Horizon was able to pull the flag out. However, an unlucky drop placed the flag one of the spokes of the wheel, and our chances faded as the flag was carried upward. For the remainder of the round SBG was able to thwart our flag grabs, resulting in a scoreless first round. The second round began with SBG making a full out blitz for our base. It was déjà vu all over again as SBG quickly came away with the capture. Round three began and every Warrior attack was put down by the well placed members of SBG. As a result the Warriors’ hope for a win was gone. The final round began much to the dismay of the Winged Warriors, SBG was able to slowly inch the flag away and make the capture, thus earning a victory in the game and the match.

Going into the final game the spirit of the Warriors’ was at an all time low, and to make matters worse they were about to play a game they had never played before. To put that into perspective the Warriors’ had no idea where the flag spawn was when they entered the game. As you can guess SBG came away with an easy victory, resulting in a 4-1 win in the clan match.
SBG Gaming is great group of very skilled and talented players. We are proud to be their allies, and you can guarantee that the next time we meet we will be ready.
