This would be the fourth time our two communities would meet, the most out of all our opponents. We first met the members of Second Foundation when they were part of the Clan of Bobs in Clan Match 3, then again as the CoB Power Rangers in Clan Match 12 (a match to be never forgotten) and lastly in Clan Match 24 as Second Foundation. However, this would be the first time we would meet on the Halo 3 Battlefield. Both teams were ready and the match was soon underway.

Second Foundation chose the first game of the match, and for the Warriors it would be first of three unprecedented clan match games. Tunnel Raid CTF is a custom game in which two teams fight their way through the tunnel and pull the flag. The Winged Warriors were well acquainted with this gametype, however, this one was slightly different. Before the start of the game, JawReich hinted at a powerup, however before he could say another word he was silenced by his fellow Second Foundation members. The game started immediately and both teams rushed at each other furiously. After a long stalemate the Warriors were taken by surprise when a member of Second Foundation sprinted down the tunnel. Not only was he fast but he was invincible to everything but an assasination. After SF made the first capture the Warriors set out to find this mysterious powerup. Then clear out of the blue, Team Phoenix leader, Pastemaster noticed a bright glowing orb up in the corner. Now with invincibility in their hands the Warriors retaliated with a score of their own. Unfortunately SF came back in the final minues, power up in hands to pull the flag out and take the win 2-1 in game one.

At the start of the game two, an enraged Warrior squad set out to dismantle the members of Second Foundation, in a game type they were completely unfamiliar. The Warriors rushed hard and fast leaving no one in their path. After six minutes, the Warriors walked away with a shutout in game two.

Game three would be the second of three unprecedented games. Both teams started strong unleashing wave after wave of hammer destruction. It was clear to the Winged Warriors that Second Foundation was far more prepared and more strategic in their gameplay. However, the pure slaying ability of the Warriors shutdown all but one attempt and strolled away with a 8-1 victory.

For game four, the Winged Warriors decided to try out their newly created map, WW Coagulation. The map contained almost all the accomodations of Halo 2's Coagulation, however, the Spartan Laser, Missile Pod, and mongoose were left in for the sake of Halo 3. The game started with the Warriors coming out strong and taking control of the map. With complete control of both land and air, the Warriors relentlessly pulled the flag and were successful in three of their four attempts. With a win in game four the Warriors sealed the victory in the match.

Even though the match was over, both teams decided to play the fifth game, the final unprecedented game and one the Winged Warriors would like to never play again. Second Foundation had the honor of choosing and they decided on Yojimbo. Yojimbo is a round based VIP Escort game, in which you receive points for kills and points for killing the VIP. One team spawns with plasma pistols and are invisible. The other spawns with heavy weapons and move slow. The VIP is situated on the invisible team. As long as the VIP is alive the round continues. So it is in the best interest of the attacking team to leave the VIP alive for as long as possible. From the start of the game the Winged Warriors were in complete confusion, because once again they were told nothing about the game. So every minute of every round was a learning experience. Despite the confusion both teams ended the four rounds tied, thus the match ended 3-1-1 in favor of the Winged Warriors.
We would like to once again thank the members of Second Foundation for the great games. Maybe next time we can get Sigafoos and Brathnok in on the fun.
