Winged Warriors vs. Silent Assassins League

    The Silent Assassins League is a relatively new clan in the Halo Community, which was created through the Rocket Race playlist back in November of 2007. From that time on they organized and hammered out their image into what they are today. In my opinion the Silent Assassins League is a force to be reckoned with in the Halo Community.

Game I - MLG CTF v5 on MLG The Pit v5

    From the start of the match the Winged Warriors knew they were in trouble. SAL is a clan well versed in MLG, unlike the Winged Warriors. Back in Halo 2 the Winged Warriors were a MLG powerhouse, unfortunately at the release of Halo 3 the members of WW decided to no longer practice MLG. At the start of the game both sides traded flag captures and the game was tied at one a piece. However, with five minutes left SAL was able to steal the Warrior flag and make it safely back to their base. From that point on the SAL defense tightened and the Winged Warriors were presented with a 2-1 loss.

Game II - Oddball on WW Ghost Town

    For those who are not familiar with WW Ghost Town, it is similar in every way to Ghost Town except the equipment has been removed in order to prevent those bubble shield defenses. The Winged Warriors were confident at the start because they were playing a favorite of theirs and hopefully a game in which SAL was unfamiliar. Unfortunately for the Winged Warriors, the members of SAL are excellent slayers, made evident by the fact that all five of them had positive K/D ratios. The Winged Warriors were able to keep it close for the majority of the game; however, an opportune grab at the end sealed the victory for the Silent Assassins League and put the Winged Warriors on the ropes.

Game III - MLG TS v5 on MLG Construct v5

    The Winged Warriors were on the ropes but not out. They Warriors were presented with another MLG game, however, this time they knew what to expect. From the start, the game was a close one, with both teams trading bullets and kills across the map. However, with only minutes remaining the Winged Warriors strengthened and came away with a hard fought victory.

Game IV - Team BRs on Standoff

    The victory in game three gave the Winged Warriors hope, but they still were faced with the possibility of defeat. From the start the Winged Warriors were hammered by BR fire from every angle, and control of the laser was in the skilled hands of SAL. Fortunately near the end, the Warriors gained control of the Spartan Laser and put the pressure on SAL. With the score tied at 49, the Warriors worked together and pulled off the win, 50-49.

Game V - Team BRs on The Pit

    With the game tied at two wins a piece the fifth game would be a split decision. SAL decided to select The Pit, and the Winged Warriors selected Team BRs. Unfortunately the Warriors were met with a surprise at the start of the game. The Warriors knew they were going to play a game with a Battle Rifle start, but they had no idea that the BR would be the only weapon on the map. Despite the setback the Winged Warriors fought hard and for the majority of the game the score was close. However, around the eight minute mark, SAL was able to slowly pull away and come out with a 50-41 win in the game and the match.

Summary

We would like to thank the members of the Silent Assassins League for accepting our challenge and for the fun and intense games. We look forward to meeting on the Halo 3 battlefield in the near future.
