Winged Warriors vs. Outcast Reborn

    Once again on our quest to interact with more communities of the Good Game Network, we took to the forums and challenged Outcast Reborn. Back in the days of Halo 2, we had a little match against a few members from Outcast Reborn, back then they were called Outcast Revenge. Still to this day I do not know why the match was never recorded in our archives. Maybe one day I will find the files and an official write-up can be completed.

Game I - Multi-Flag on Valhalla

    For the first game of the night, the Winged Warriors decided to select a game which they have never lost in a Halo 3 clan match, Multi-Flag on Valhalla. Both teams took to slaying right out of the starting gate, as bodies dropped and vehicles exploded across the hills of Valhalla. After both teams had secured one flag, Outcast Reborn began a never ending assault on the Warriors' base. The Winged Warriors absorbed the assault and held fast. Due to the amazing last stand the Winged Warriors and Outcast Reborn were tied as the clock struck zero.

Game II - MLG CTF v5 on MLG The Pit v5

    Feeling that they could handle the slaying power of Outcast Reborn, the Winged Warriors entered game two confident. As the clock ticked away, the war raged on and with five minutes left, Outcast Reborn was able to secure a flag capture. Despite the setback the Winged Warriors pushed forward. With thirty seconds left on the clock the Warriors pulled off a well organized attack and tied the game at one a piece. With victory in sight and the game in sudden death the Winged Warriors pulled together and completed an amazing comeback after successfully capturing the winning flag.

Game II Stats

 

Game III - Team Slayer on High Ground

    For game three the Winged Warriors went back into the vault and pulled out another game which they never lost in a Halo 3 clan match, Team Slayer on High Ground. The game started as a stalemate as both team traded bullets and kills. However, the Warriors were never able to completely setup, thus leading to a 50 - 29 loss.

Game III Stats

 

Game IV - MLG TS v5 on MLG Guardian v5

    For the second consecutive match, the Winged Warriors were on the ropes. A loss in this game would mean a loss in the match. The Warriors fought hard, but the highly skilled slaying ability of Outcast Reborn proved too much for the Warriors. The game ended 50 - 39 and the Winged Warriors were presented with their second straight loss.

Game IV Stats

 

Game V - Team Snipers on Narrows

    Even though the match was over, both teams decided to play the fifth game and complete the series. As usual, the fifth game was a split decision; the Winged Warriors chose Narrows and Outcast Reborn chose Team Snipers. In the same manner as the games that came before, the game was a back and forth struggle with multiple lead changes. However, as both teams reached the high thirties, Outcast Reborn inched away and claimed a 50 - 43 win in the game and a 3 - 1 - 1 victory in the match.

Summary

We would like to thank Outcast Reborn for accepting our challenge and providing us with an intense and exciting series of games. Next time we will be prepared; until then, good game.
